hi y’all!
we’ve got something important
to tell you about fonts and we think about it. and.. it’s not great
firstly, huge ‘thanks’ to you, google
we honestly believe that it's probably the most boring company in the whole web space. at least visually-wise.
another 'thank you’ goes directly to Apple
which has also contributed to incredibly monotonous & dull visual designs in the past 10 years. No need for a crystal ball to guess what to expect from them next year.
however our absolute winner is
..*the drumroll sound*..
the 'Helvetica’ font. we know, it's simple, understandable, universal. but [and there's a huge one coming]. but designers from all over the world literally became hostages of this font, killing their creativity and self-expression.
Not only graphic / product / interface designers but also font-face designers – basically anyone who has ANY sense of style – we all have our eyeballs bleeding from this Helvetica thing, right?
just look at things!

trust us, for most people
all of these fonts look
f*cking the same
this is exactly how the majority of all our works look like today [aka boring]
(we are really sorry to use your design works,
guys, they are really brilliant!)
(we are really sorry to use your design works, guys, they are really brilliant!)
but,
we may have
a simple solution
there is a lot
of various great
font-faces
made by
humanity in
the past decades
